2003 SF United Leonas

Since its inception, SF United Leonas has been highly successful, representing the club very well as one of the top teams in its age group. With the birth year changes, the Leonas roster evolved by combining with players from other top teams. The Leonas are a dedicated group of girls that strive to learn, improve, and compete, all while supporting one another and having fun. At the heart of each player lie the core values of what it means to be a competitive soccer player. The players are from a variety of public and private schools across the city, making it a very diverse group. They all have years of experience playing competitive soccer, many with SF United FC since they began to play club soccer. Many also play on their high school soccer teams. The team has numerous successes together, such as finishing in First Place in the NorCal Premier League Gold Division and finishing first at many tournaments, most recently winning the Championship at the 2017 Stanford Summer Classic. The Leonas are also competing in the NorCal State Cup and finished their first round undefeated and in first place. The Leonas team is led by their experienced and motivated coach Rafael Gamez. Coach Rafa works to bring out the best in each player. He and the girls share their passion for and dedication to the game and to each other.
